Jeong Kwan

Kwan is a Buddhist monk whose philosophies translates into her cooking. I watched Chef's Table and was left in awe of her. In keeping with the principle of detachment, Kwan prepares food that is not designed to make you crave more once you’re finished.

Kwan lives in temple, grows her food there and teaches at the university. If you'd like to try her food, the temple has no public restaurant. You'd have to apply to stay at the temple for this experience. The temple and the garden in which she grows her food in look amazing.
